visit of ITEMM in Le Mans, school for luthiers
Today we visited the Institut technologique européen des métiers de la musique (ITEMM) in Le Mans (France) together with 3 of the apprentices who are now following an internship in music instrument workshops in Belgium: Anselmo Chissaque and Bernardo Matola from Maputo and Johnny Sasi Luvuvamu from Kinshasa.

The ITEMM has accepted the candidature of our student Anselmo Chissaque, who will this year in September - thanks to a grant from the French Government - be able to start a one year training programme, at the end of which he will pass exams and if he succeeds receive the diplome of piano-tuner. He will then be the first instrument technician which will have successfully received a diplome after having first followed the training programmes which Music Fund is offering to students from Palestine, Congo and Mozambique. We are proud of him in advance !

This school is truely impressive to visit, so well equipped, but also with such a wonderfully lively and pleasant atmosphere amongst the direction, the teachers and the students.
This partnership is for Music Fund a very important one, as it allows us to offer the perspective of becoming an expert-luthier/technician to those of our apprentices who are most talented and work well during their internships which we are organising.
