Ramallah - day 2

Today Monday, has been another workshop-day for Olivier Marie and his students. Their second one. More students came to today's workshop. Olivier_hammers Olivier_atelier Olivier_serious I had one interview with the Palestinian newspaper Al Quds to explain about our projects and future ambitions. BSF_piano © piano donated by Music Fund at Barenboim-Said Foundation, Ramallah Together with Vincent, the reporter of the Flemish radio Klara, I have visited the new building of the Barenboim-Said Foundation, to whom Music Fund has donated some of its best music instruments the last two years. Gaza I have also met with the direction of the Al Qattan Foundation in Ramallah, to discuss our further plans to support the Qattan Centre for the Child in Gaza. They are making a survey studying the possibility of starting a real music school in Gaza. If this will be decided the coming months, I want Music Fund to be one of their major partners. It would be wonderful to help this organisation by donating music instruments for the new school and help develop a programme for teacher training. We will know more about all this the coming months. Ramallah_girlwithviolin Days seem very long here. So much is happening in one day. Not necessarily in terms of activities or things happening, but surely in terms of the experiences and thoughts one has here. That is why I feel that we have been here in the Westbank for much longer than only one week.
