first evening in Nazareth

All together, we travelled this evening from Tel Aviv to Nazareth, where to meet our friends Duaibis and Maha Abboud Ashkar, as well as all people working within the music workshop which the Barenboim-Said Foundation is organising the coming two weeks in Nazareth for young palestinian musicians from Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Ramallah and Nablus. Arriving in Nazareth at the home of Duaibis and Maha, where Mathilde and I are staying the coming days, we found Daniel Barenboim himself and about 30 other people involved in the music workshop which will start tomorrow. Great to see all these friends. Maha had cooked a meal in honor of Daniel Barenboim' short visit to Nazareth. She had been working on this meal during one whole week.
